This practical six-week course introduces the beautiful art of hand embossing. You’ll learn the fundamental techniques used to create raised decorative designs, experimenting with a range of materials and embellishment methods as you build confidence. By the end of the course, you’ll have produced a collection of original embossed artworks and the skills to continue exploring this versatile craft at home.

Join Nicci at the Sunbury Embroidery Gallery, for an introduction to the art of embossing by hand. In this workshop, participants will be taught the fundamental techniques of embossing and debossing by hand. You will also create an embossed and monogrammed piece of artwork, taking home with you, all artwork that you create in the session and a stylus to continue any work at home.

You will learn the techniques of embossing by hand into metal foil and how to apply these to 5 different festive designs that will be used for the cards.
You will take home with you, 5 luxury cards and envelopes, and also a stylus and paper pencil to continue any foil embossing at home.

Foil Embossed Festive Cards Workshop - Saturday 14th November 2026 10am-3pm Sunbury Embroidery Gallery

Join Nicci at Cass Art Kingston, for a foil embossing festive cards workshop.
You will learn the techniques of embossing by hand into metal foil and how to apply these to 5 different designs that will be used for the cards.
You will take home with you, 5 luxury cards that you make in the workshop, envelopes, stylus and paper pencil to complete or continue any foil embossing at home.

This is a 5 hour workshop, including a short break for lunch. Please note, lunch is not provided.
